I hope this letter finds you all healthy and happy. In the past few weeks, it came to our attention that several members contracted COVID-19. As soon as we were informed these members had the virus, we immediately closed off the areas they were seated in and sanitized the entire room. We are happy to inform you the club has been completely cleaned and sanitized from top to bottom. We have also implemented a sanitization schedule, where all high-touch areas are regularly cleaned and sanitized. We also ask that all members assist us by wearing their masks and following all of our guidelines to maintain a healthy environment. We hope this helps you feel safe and allows you to be comfortable when visiting and continuing to support your club.
We are asking all members to please continue to support your club during these trying times. With the COVID-19 virus bar and restaurant guidelines and so many people not venturing out in the public, our club is suffering financially. Many of our scheduled ballroom rentals have been cancelled this year. We still have several members that have not paid their dues for the year. The hardest part however, is that we are not doing the regular business we once were. There are long periods of each day when we have no one visiting the club. We understand the fears and worries of going out in the public and contracting the virus. We are not asking for anyone to risk their health or to do anything that makes them feel uncomfortable. We are asking, if you do feel comfortable, please consider coming to the MAC if you have not visited for a while. Even without the Queen of Hearts, we still have plenty to offer. Delicious food and inexpensive drinks, Bar Trivia, Bar Bingo, Fish Frys, Thursday Steak Night, Sunday Wings and Things, plus many more activities. Please check out our website for all events.
If you do not feel comfortable joining us at the club, we do understand. There are other ways to support your club. We offer carry-out and encourage you to think of us when you order out. We can offer curbside carry-out so you don’t need to leave the comfort of your vehicle. You are even able to place a carry-out order for alcohol. According to state guidelines, you can order 2 alcoholic beverages for every meal you order. So you can still enjoy club drink prices with your favorite club meal. You just need to call the club to place your order. Once you arrive give us another call, or let us know your arrival time when you place your order, pull up to the front doors, we will bring your order to your car and take your payment at that time. You can even pay by credit card for a contactless payment. Our staff will wear face masks and make sure everything is prepared and delivered safely. We can even swipe your badge for you to help you get a sign in.
Still want to do more? Do you know someone who may need to rent a large room for a gathering, business event, wedding, or other event? Have them contact the MAC. We have a big, beautiful ballroom perfect for any event and at a great price. All the contact information is on our website. Another way to help is by sponsoring a new member. If you know someone you think would make a good MAC member, bring them in and introduce them to your club. We are always looking for new members to grow our club. Your memberships are what keep us going.
Again, we appreciate your support and membership. We are working hard to keep the Milton Athletic Club a safe, healthy, and fun place to go. We now need your help to keep us open.
