November's Fish Fry is on Friday, the 10th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Tickets are $10.00 each ($12.00 the day of the fish fry) and are available at the bar. Menu includes, regular and Cajun fried cod, French fries, Polish sausage, Mac & cheese, cole slaw, and stewed tomatoes. To go orders can be purchased for $8.00 from 6:00 to 6:30 pm. This event is opent to the public, so bring your family and friends.
Join us this Veterans Day for a special U.S. Memorial Presentation by historians Daniel and Marilyn Nagle. Daniel and Marilyn have given a variety of presentations, working specifically with the University of Dayton's popular UDOLLI program. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7:00 pm (regular menu). Presentation begins at 7:00 pm and will cover, in part: the cause of the crash of Flight 93 in Pennsylvania, the plight of the soldiers in the Blue and Grey Division of Bedford, Virginia on D-Day, interesting, little-known facts concerning Lee's defeat at Appomattox, why General George S. Patton is not buried at Arlington, and much more. Admission is free.
The band Locking Up Otis will make their Milton Club debut on Friday, November 17. This band plays a wide variety of classic rock, and old-time favorites from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Whether you want to get out on the dance floor and shake your tail feathers, or just sit back and enjoy a great evening of live music and entertainment, this is the night you've been waiting for. Doors open at 5:30 so come on in and join us for dinner before the show. The band starts at 8:00 pm and plays until midnight. Admission is free and this event is open to the public, so bring your family and friends.
Nominations for President, Vice President, and four board positions will be accepted at the November Membership Meeting on Sunday, the 19th at 2:30 pm. We will also be voting on a proposed change to the Active House Rules. Sunday Wings and Things is back, so stick around after the meeting and enjoy an order of crispy wings or another tasty item from our special Sunday Menu.
We're talking fresh cut steaks here, cooked over an open fire by an all-volunteer crew just like in the 'good ole' days". Dinner includes: New York Strip Steak, baked potato, and a salad for only $12.00 and will be served from 6:00 to 9:00 pm or until the steaks are gone. There are no tickets to buy. This is a first come - first served event. Our regular menu will not be available on this evening. Come on out and join your friends and fellow members for a great steak dinner.
